I knew Pauline from Mitchells School of Motoring as she was my friends mum so I asked her to give me driving lessons when I was 17. I started driving lessons on my 17th birthday and had passed my driving test before my 18th birthday. There were quite a few of us who all went to high school together and then later college, who took driving lessons all at the same time but with different driving schools and it became a bit of a competition who would get the least faults and who would pass 1st time.
